Best In Show: Kids InStyle Sydney 2015 - Phoenix and the Fox

My favourite stand at Kids InStyle Sydney 2015 was Phoenix and the Fox, a brand new clothing label based in Sydney. Let me start by saying that I only had 4.5 hours to traverse the enormity that is the Kids InStyle and Life InStyle trade shows. Camera in hand, I zoom up and down the aisles, pausing only to catch-up with designers that I have already been following. But I literally stopped in my tracks as I passed Phoenix and Fox. Here's why:

One of my favourite pieces at the Kids InStyle 2015 Sydney trade show this past week was this gorgeous stretchy wrap/throw/blanket/cover by Milk & Masuki, featuring this cool owl print designed by label co-owner Ishak Masukor (also holding the piece).

I'm putting together a blog post for Madeit.com.au today and came across this sweet baby outfit, handmade by lolli + bean. So cute! Margot can make this set to order in different sizes. There is so much to love about this image by Melbourne-based kids' homewares brand Homely Creatures. The fawn pillow is beyond cute, and I love the pastel pink with graphic black and white palette.

Handcrafted Family Tree artwork by MeWe

Michelle Atzemis of MeWe creates beautiful handcrafted family trees that are gorgeous displayed in a nursery or child's bedroom. Actually, as these pics show, this heirloom piece would look great in any room. Here are some beautiful images styled and shot by Nicola of Concrete + Honey.

Each family tree is individually cut from remnant papers, personalised with family names, and sewn by hand. Different colour combinations are available and no two are the same.

Icon ferry and tram prints for kids from Poppy Studio

OK, I'm expecting to see these prints pop up in all the cool kids' bedrooms. My friend Catherine gave me the head's up on Adelaide's Poppy Studio and I fell in love with these iconic Melbourne tram and Sydney ferry wall art prints for kids.

Seriously great. Nicole Kerley has a fun range of prints for children - the flamingo is pretty fantastic as well as the London prints and the Alphabet posters. Lots to choose from and the birth announcement prints are lovely too. You can find Poppy Studio wall art prints in the online store and stockists across Australia and online.

Bambeano baby beanbag up for grabs!

Hang on - a cool toy for the kids that ticks the boxes of the design-sensitive too?!? Dudley Co.'s Courtney Wall and her carpenter husband create these fantastic toddler ride-on scooters in Brisbane. Each piece is hand-crafted and screen-printed in Brisbane to suit one to four-year-olds. So great.

Dudley Co.'s ride ons are handmade in Brisbane using certified plywood, sealed with a water-based polish, and finished with solid rubber casters and water-based paints. The ride on is available in three designs, but as they are hand screen-printed, each is unique. They are tested by the couple's son and his friends who love them to bits. I can see why!
