10 Moon trend artworks for kids

Along with the current love for all things boho and gypsy, celestial, and the new New Age, there has been a mini-trend towards the use of moon artwork in kids' interiors. Dr Seuss quote artwork for kids' rooms

The Dr Seuss quote artwork by Hunting for George has a great graphic quality that is child-appropriate and will modernise a kid's room too, especially with the black frame.

And can I give Hunting for George a huge thumb's up for this great styling! The fiddle leaf fig is the new indoor plant of the moment and looks great in that big Pop and Scott geometric-painted planter (put this one down in the DIY ideas book if you're crafty). The Kip & Co cushions look fantastic too. It's a really modern room palette that I'm seeing a lot at the moment - bright pops of colour against a black and white with a touch of grey/neutral background.

Carley Cornelissen animal wall art for kids rooms

If you are looking for something very special for your child's room, you can't go past the work of Melbourne-born and Sunshine Coast-based artist Carley Cornelissen, who I follow on Instagram. Her artworks are fun and whimsical, featuring animals and a very modern urban art style. I love this cute and cuddly wombat on a starry background.

Australia Day 2014 - inspired by Cockatoos

Happy Australia Day weekend! I like to think that every day is Australia Day here on Bondville - uncovering and sharing Australian designers and real Australian parties and kids' rooms. I've loved the MOZI cockatoo lamp for years - the kitschy-cool looks will never go out of style. Bonnie and Neil have been championing Australian birds on their homewares for a number of years - add instant personality with their cocky cushion. My favourite might just be the geo-crested cockatoo art print from Brisbane's The Printpress Studio - graphic and fun; my kids would love it.

One of my favourite Australian illustrators is Gold Coast-based Kat Cameron of Team Kitten fame. Her kawaii style is bright and fun and is a source of inspiration for me. Bondville Charity Auction: original Meredith Gaston watercolour and Kindergallery children's art

Bondville Charity Auction: Inaluxe hand signed wall art

I'm so thrilled to have received this amazing donation from Grampians, Victoria-based artists (and Bondville favourites) Kristina Sostarko and Jason Odd of Inaluxe. These three large hand-signed art prints (RRP $145.00 each) will be available as part of the Bondville Charity Auction, starting at only 99c each, if you can believe it!

The three designs available to bid on from 15th November are: The Shipping News, Message No.15, and The Birds of Australia. Each artwork is 42cm x 55cm, hand signed with hand written title, inaluxe logo and date on a generous white border.

The bold illustrations and mid-century modern style of Inaluxe's work has been copied by many, but a true Inaluxe is an iconic piece and easy to spot. We have The Tale Of Mr Cat sitting proudly in our home and we love him to bits.

Supertrooper Studio's NYC wall art

We spent 2003-2006 living in New York City and still think about it nearly every day. Supertrooper Studio in Sydney has just released a gorgeous art print that would great in an adult space or a child's room. I think we need this!

Super Duper Supertrooper Studio Scandi art for kids

Finding the gorgeous Supertrooper Studio at The Finders Keepers market in Sydney on the weekend was a real a-ha moment. I was literally stopped in my tracks by the Scandinavian-inspired artwork and homewares for kids.

The illustrated city art prints first caught my attention. The Super Places collection includes Sydney, Melbourne, Manly, Fremantle (with more to come), translated into posters, cushions and tea towels. Who doesn't love a graphic homage to their favourite city - and Supertrooper Studio does it so well...

This kids' memory card game is features fun, stylised animals in classic red, blue, black and white. The quality of these cards is lovely:

I follow Laura Blythman on Instagram (oh how I love thee IG creative community!) which is where I drooled over her artwork for her Love, Lyrics, Neon exhibition at The Kaleidescope Gallery in Geelong until 23rd January 2013. And lucky for us - Laura has made beautiful prints of some of her pieces for us to own too!
