With a tight palette of pink, red and white and a touch of Peppa Pig, Ella's party is a sweet tooth's dream come true. I looooooove the DIY Peppa Pig cake kit - what a great idea. Read on for Kate's tips and advice to put together your own Sweet Shoppe party.

Whimsy Millieu printable hipster placemats
I follow the delightful Jacqueline Chan from Whimsy Millieu on Instagram and when she emailed to let me know about her cuter-than-cute printable DIY placemats, I couldn't resist sharing them with you.
These placemats are so fun for the hipster little kids (and big kids!) in your life. Imagine a Moonrise Kingdom themed birthday party with camping placemats for table settings (I'm looking at you Miss Lonny!). Or a pretty Spring baby shower or tea party set with wreath placemats and delicate tea cups. And of course the bunting theme goes with everything for the little girls in your life.
Simply download and print as many times as you like on your home printer. And the beauty of printables is that you can use them again and again for different events. So great!
You can find these placemat printables (and many more designs and printables to come) in the Whimsy Millieu Graphics online store.

Make: Free printable advent calendar from Mibo
Christmas preparations are in full swing at our house and we have started our annual advent calendar to count down the days to the big one. Do you have one? It's not too late!
Our advent calendar was designed by UK designers Mibo a few years ago and we have been using the same calendar each year. Simply print out the first page (day numbers) on card stock and use a craft knife and board to cut along the dotted window lines. Then print out the second page on normal paper, glue the two pieces together, punch two holes at the top and add a festive ribbon to hang. Easy!
Some advent calendars have a small chocolate or treat for each day. Our Mibo design just reveals a cute picture each day and our girls seem to be just as excited. If you would like to download a free advent calendar by Mibo head to this page for Mibo's new 2012 design. You can also purchase this version which is also cute. The 2009 version that I used above is no longer available. I'd love to hear all about your advent traditions - please let me know!

The Tomkat Studio Aussie Party Challenge
Here's one for all you party fans out there. Fabulous US printables designers The Tomkat Studio know how many talented party stylists there are in Australia, and are hosting a fun competition that we can all participate in to win a $100 voucher in their online party store. They challenged eight Australian party stylists to create a party shoot themed around The TomKat Studio printables, and we get to vote.
Here's a sneak peek of the parties - simply click on the party you like best and leave a comment to enter (US and Australian entrants only):
Leanne from Sweet Style put together a Vintage Surf party. I adore the layered jellies.
Vesna from My Little Jedi created a Vintage Ballerina party. I spot glorious tutu du monde dresses!
Suzanna from Mon Tresor designed this Little Red Wagon party. Yum. Toffee apples.
Daisy from Leo & Bella wowed with this pink and grey Chevron Stripe Bridal Shower. So polished.
Leoni from Just Call Me Martha created an Owl Themed Baby Shower. Must check out the doily gift tags.
Belinda from Styled By Belle designed this sweet Flower Garden Party. Those cake slices look amazing!
Lilian from Lily Chic Events created this Blue Giraffe Party. So classy.
Louisa from Little Big Company put together this Vintage French Patisserie Party. The yellow cruiser is a cute touch.
What a great way to showcase some of the talent we have here in Australia. Congratulations ladies on beautiful work - everyone wins in my book with all this creativity on display. Head over to The Tomkat Studios to vote for your favourite.

Printables: Free printable vintage Father's Day card
We love making our own cards and I was so excited to see this fantastic 3D printable card on the Sassaby blog. The printables designers at Brisbane-based Sassaby are giving away this vintage Father's Day card printable design, free for you to download and print on your own printer.
I cut the individual pieces out and let the kids go to town sticking them to the card and drawing pictures inside. We printed on standard white cardstock and used double-sided tape, but you could also use foam to get a more pronounced 3D look like Sassaby has achieved above. There are enough elements to decorate both the outside and inside of the card.
Thanks Sassaby for a great printable!

Babushka Party printable pack
There's a brand new printable party pack available over at Modern Printables by Jess Walsham (Joyess Designs) and it's got Girl's Birthday Party written all over it. The Babushka Party collection features pink, red and white Russian nesting dolls (Matryoshka) and polka dots, and we all know how popular those are!
The Print-Your-Own stationery collection includes an editable invitation (you can type the party details in the highlighted areas), fun bunting banner flags, round toppers (for topping food, making a garland, or sealing envelopes), blank placecards/buffet labels, juice labels, water bottle labels, mini bunting flags/food flags, Babushka-shaped gift tags, and blank thank you notes. The invitation and all party decor elements are available for a short time individually, or as a value pack. The editable invitation means that you can use this pack again and again - so economical.
This party pack would also be great for a baby shower, Christening, high tea, Bat Mitzvah, or any special event for a special girl. I think it would be great to get the kids involved in the printing, cutting and hanging, and of course writing their own thank you notes.
Yet another great design from Jess. You can find the Babushka Party pack and elements (for a limited time) in the Modern Printables online shop.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends! For the first time in many years, the weather has been cool enough here in Sydney to feel like turning on the oven for Thanksgiving. With temperatures in the teens and rain all day, we happily cooked up a storm and printed out these cute Thanksgiving printable place cards from Pilgrim Lee (draw! pilgrim). The little ones had a ball getting the table all gussied up, and helping with the cooking.
We served up BBQ ribs (not traditionally a Thanksgiving main course, but definitely one of our favourite meals from the US), sweet potato and molasses mash with a pear, walnut and blue cheese salad. Of course pumpkin pie for dessert, but with a twist - this one layered with pumpkin on the bottom and cream on the top. (actually, I was piping on cream around the edges, but the pie was too warm and it turned into a soupy lake. Encroaching bedtimes will do that to you).
Wherever you are in the world, I hope you're enjoying this time with family and friends. We've got lots to be thankful for.
Steph

miki.o stationery and paper goods
Bianca van Meeuwen is a multi-talented lady whose textile design I have written about here on Bondville. Now Melbourne-based Bianca is bringing us her stationery and paper goods design with miki.o stationery, wall art prints, and printable wedding stationery.
There is so much to love about Bianca's collection. The Fruit and Veggie calendar is totally inspired and something I have been searching for, for a long time. The print outlines monthly seasonal produce in Australia - something I'd love for our kitchen. And I need that menu planner big-time. The wedding stationery designs are fresh and printing yourself is so economical - a great wedding budget-slasher.
You can find miki.o stationery and paper goods in the online store and printable wedding stationery in the etsy store.
