Amy from Happy As Larry Designs is committed to only employing workshops and women in Nepal that offer fair wages and working conditions. Felting is labour intensive - the pure New Zealand wool is carded then dyed in various colors. The artisans compress the raw material using soap and hot water by hand. By rubbing and washing the wool with hot water the fibres fuse together.No chemicals or machines are used to make the product; hence the felt products are 100% hand made.
