Stylish Kids: Wild Things Of Noosa

Another great market find - the beautiful children's accessories and toys of Wild Things Of Noosa. Selina creates hip, modern things for little ones. We stocked up on presents for our nieces in the US and got a little pressie for Sophie too.

You can find Wild Things Of Noosa in the online store and sells them on Etsy, Made It and La Toriana. You can read more about Selina's new products and crafts on her blog at Wild Things Of Noosa. And check out Wild Things Of Noosa at the upcoming Mathilda's Markets in Brisbane on 19th July, 2009.

Welcome Online My Messy Room

Drool-worthy children's store My Messy Room (based in Summer Hill, NSW near my old 'hood), has just opened their online store. I have been eagerly awaiting this moment since we moved from Sydney, as this store manages to stock the coolest, quirkiest products and gorgeous brands you've never heard of (as well as some favourites that you have). Those gorgeous Japanese duds from Wasabi Kids? You can find them at My Messy Room. There's also a new blog that I'm sure will be compulsory reading for anyone who loves cool baby products. Welcome My Messy Room!

French Design for Aussies

I was thrilled to discover today (via a link on Ohdeedoh.com) an online store based in Victoria selling fabulous French design ware. French Bazaar specialises in home decor, games and gadgets, cooking and eating products, things for your pet, environmental products and chalkboard stickers. I just love the Buddy throw for your couch and the Buddy beach towel (the "anti-loneliness" beach towel! pictured).

The Coolest Ever Chicken Coop

I'm seriously taken with the Eglu. I've secretly harboured desires to keep my own egg-laying chickens in the backyard, and to the rescue is this very stylish and very efficient chicken-coop alternative. Fresh eggs whenever you like! Fun pets to keep the grass short! The Eglu is high on my wish-list once I get a backyard. I'll have one in green, thanks.

Drool-worthy Design: Hable Construction

High on my gift list this year is anything from hable construction. This textile and home accessories company sells the most gorgeous pillows and has a store in the neighbourhood (Nolita). They work with a woman's cooperative in Hungary using a traditional technique to produce half of the pillow and accessories collections. The cotton and linen prints are lovely, but the killer items are in felt. This Christmas they also feature felt Christmas stockings and holiday gift boxes.

King of Shaves

By far the favourite toiletry product in our house is King of Shaves shaving gel and oil. We discovered this miraculous product in a boutique hotel in Melbourne, and were delighted to find the brand at pharmacies in New York. The general consensus amongst King of Shaves users is the extraordinary close shave and softness that lasts all day and night. We also love that the gel is enhanced with Aloe, Vitamin E and Tea Tree Oil.
