Friends - the Bondville Loves online shopping directory has an intake of members twice a year. The current membership intake is strictly from 1-31st December 2011 for 2012. Australian businesses offering online shopping to design-savvy Mums in the lifestyle, home and kids categories are eligible to participate. All members receive a banner, link and description on the Bondville Loves shopping directory, as well as their company name and link in the sidebar of the Bondville website (that's every page!). Brisbane ABCD Meetup Ad Winners

We couldn't decide, and awarded the Autumn 2010 Brisbane ABCD Meetup goodie bag prize to Samantha from Jetta's Nest for her gorgeous art cards, and Bel from Enticing Icing for her handmade sugar art for cupcakes and other baked goodies.

I've written about Samantha's fabulous artwork and craft before, and my Sophie owns two of her gorgeous handmade tops - one made from a vintage Holly Hobby pillow case and the other a mushroom applique featuring one of Samantha's signature sassy girl faces (check them out here). Both are adorable and one-of-a-kind, like all of Samantha's work.

You might know Bel as one half of girls' hair accessories label EmBelish, but did you know that she has just started her own company Enticing Icing? She makes, rolls, and hand-cuts gorgeous sugar art for use as cupcake toppers and a myriad of other pretty things. Here are some of her butterflies in flight on top of cupcakes that I made for Livingstone's birthday party. Bit more fab than my usual cachous!

Cool Websites: Get The Glass

Truly one of the coolest ads ever, Get The Glass is an online flash game, branded by the California Milk Processor Board (Got Milk?) that will have you spending a long time fixated to the screen. The quality of the animations and the environment feel very Myst-like, and the board-game style with mini-games interspersed is both accessible and challenging. A new bar has been set.

Equal Does A DailyCandy

The Merisant Company (marketers of the sweetener "Equal" in Australia) has put together a very clever outdoor advertising campaign that is currently featuring on bus stops and phone booths in Sydney. The tagline is unmemorable (Bring Cafe Culture Home or similar), but the image is arresting. Particularly for those thousands of tastemaking Australian women who read the trend email newsletter DailyCandy.

The image is immediately recognisable as the same illustration style used in DailyCandy (see image), and is actually from the site, minus the guy and umbrella and plus a box of Equal sweetener. This brings instant brand recognition and affiliation with a favourite trend news source. And for those who aren't aware of DailyCandy, it is incredibly smart to use the artistic talents of the illustrator that brings so much life and cache to the DailyCandy emails.

Someone at Merisant's agency (DDB) should get a pay rise.
