New Oobi Winter 2015 for girls 0-11 years

One of Australia's favourite children's fashion labels, Oobi, has launched their Winter 2015 collection and I have two favourites already. Firstly, this amazing furry Nordic Snowflake faux fur vest with the Crazy Rain print dress or skirt. So cuddly and boho-cool:

And then there is this gorgeous two-tiered floral Blue Roses print and tulle dress from the Floral Story. What a gorgeous party dress:

Oobi's Halloween Spooky range for girls 3-11 years

Do your kids love Halloween as much as ours do? We're all for a chance for the little ones to use their imagination and dress up - there's so much excitement as they plan outfits with their friends and we walk around the streets chatting to neighbours. It's not really about the lollies for us, but more about having fun and making memories for the little ones.

If you don't have time to DIY, now there is an alternative to standard costumes from one of Australia's favourite kids' fashion labels, Oobi. These cute outfits and accessories are available for girls in sizes from 3-11 years and have plenty of potential for wear throughout the year. Love them!

New Oobi SS14 girls clothes and now for tweens!

Oobi is one of those children's clothing brands that has a true cult following. Oobi Mamas love Oobi with a passion and really connect with the labels fresh, fun, 'let them be little' ethos and mix-and-match prints. My girls have worn and loved so many Oobi pieces and still live in their Oobi hats, which is why we are excited to see this classic Australian brand expand up to size 11 for tweens!

Bondville Charity Auction: playtime inspired by the Tinyfolk puppet box

I love the flat-pack cardboard puppet box from TinyFolk that theatrical designer Genevieve Dugard has donated for the Bondville Charity Auction.

On top of being an amazing product, Genevieve is also donating $5 from the sale of each of her cardboard play houses over the Christmas period to her "Let's PlayHouse" initiative with Street Smart Australia and Domestic Violence NSW, to help children in emergency care. The aim of the initiative is to provide every women’s safe-house and refuge in Australia with access to quality play experiences through the supply of a Tinyfolk Playhouse. Read more about this great initiative right here.

I've been inspired by Gen's puppet box to pull together some more great playtime products that have been donated by Australian designers and stores for the Bondville Charity Auction.

  • Puppet box from Tinyfolk, RRP: $79.00
  • Squirrel cushion from My Bearded Pigeon, RRP: $49.00
  • CreativiTea Kit for Kids - crochet flower necklace kit from Free Range Living, RRP: $19.00
  • English solider from Nana Huchy, RRP: $41.80
  • Bianca Apple Pop dress from Oobi, RRP: $54.95
  • Red spot waterproof kid's apron from max & ella, RRP: $24.95

  • Bridgette large red dot hat from Oobi, RRP: $27.95

And there's more! I will continue to show off all the great products by Australian designers in the auction over the next few weeks. Find all the auction items (now worth over $7,800!) on the Bondville Charity Auction page. Sign up to the monthly newsletter to be reminded on bidding day. Hip Products: Charity Melamine Dinner Plates

Now there is no excuse for last-minute Christmas gifts for anyone with little ones. These limited edition charity melamine dinner plates are a must buy! Created as a collaboration between favourite Australian kids fashion icons Oobi and NZ designers Minti and fantastic Australian online children's boutique Baby's Got Style, 100% of proceeds go to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. If you've ever had an unwell child or visited a children's ward, you will know how incredible the medical staff are, how brave those little ones and families are, and how important their service is to our community. Through the Style a Smile program, these great Australian kids companies are helping out in their own way and now you can too. I just adore the plate designs, and who doesn't need a whole set of melamine plates! They are fantastic even for adult-only households for outdoors entertaining and picnics. So go ahead and pick up a plate or two for you and for gifts. They are walking out the door so you'll have to be quick! You can buy the Style a Smile plates for $AUD 10.00 at Baby's Got Style online. Iconic Oobi Baby and Kids

There is a great thread on the Oobi Facebook Page at the moment that asks fans what their favourite Oobi clothes are (from recent collections and archives). There are some lovely pieces on there, and I thought I would weigh in with some of my favourite pieces that have had much use from the Babies Bondville:

Little Bear Hoodie Jacket
One of my favourites (we have the chocolate and pink version), this knit is made from cotton and has undergone countless washes (machine, cold, delicate cycle) and two girls.

Ruby Rabbit
Truly iconic, the Ruby Rabbit has been hugged and squeezed and still looks great. I'm sure has made its way as a hip accessory into many a designer living room.

Bat Romper
Goodness this has been a little head-turner! It may have been designed with boys in mind, but like the dinosaur egg print, this bat design looks amazing on my girls.

Gelati Dots Party Dress
This was Sophie's first party dress and I still adore it. I was first attracted to the gorgeous candy-coloured spotty fabric, and we still get use out of the matching rosette. Too sweet.

Striped Knit Pinny
This pinny makes even the plainest outfit look stylish and is the piece that keeps on keeping on. Layer it over everything for years.

Dotty Raincoat
A relatively new addition, this raincoat is sunny and fun to brighten up those dreary days.

Parisienne bloomers
And of course the Parisienne bloomers which I believe started a huge return to frilly knickers four years ago and were my first introduction to the delights of Oobi.

And thanks to the amazing sale yesterday, we now have a fabulous tulip reversible cancan skirt, a pink April skirt, pink spotty tights and three more hats for our big girls' birthday. What are your favourites? I'm sure that Alex and crew from Oobi would love to know!

You can find Oobi at stockists around the world. Read more about Oobi here on Bondville. For more Australian designer kids clothes, check out Bondville Kids. And don't forget to shop online for kids fashion from great stores in the Australian Online Kids and Baby Store Directory.

Stylish Kids: Oobi Baby

We are really lucky to have some fabulous Australian baby clothes designers, and I have a particularly soft spot for Oobi. Oobi products have a handmade look using bright, modern fabric design, lots of applique and clever details. They have a great line of cotton knitwear, 1950's-style party dresses and bloomers that will make any bub look edible.

You can find Oobi clothes at most good online children's stores and specialty children's shops around the country as well as online stores.
