Handmade furniture for kids from Little Red Industries

While putting together my daughter's study space (remember this post?), I came across this amazing handmade furniture by Sydney-based Natasha Dickins of Little Red Industries. This gal can wield a power tool! Natasha creates original designs as well as revamping preloved furniture to create beautiful  pieces like this special table which would make a great study desk:

Loving crazy the blue hairpin legs with the plywood top. It's super-stylish and would look great in any room of the house. Natasha revamped the cute vintage chair too! I also love Natasha's plywood crate for toy storage (just whack a few castors on the base), this cool side table/low stool, and the copper and timber handmade clothes rack is gorgeous. Natasha's work ticks so many boxes for me - handmade, upcycling, made locally, great design; and you're supporting a local artist. How great is that.

You can find Little Red Industries furniture in the Etsy store online.

  1. This looks like a fun thing to try! I just might have a tin or two of paint in storage somewhere that I can try this out with. Best thing is that if it doesn't work out well that I can just paint the whole thing over to salvage it! Haha!
