Loving right now: Australian design favourites June 2018

Brrr. It's getting chilly and I've got my eye on warm knits, texture, stone, pottery mugs for warm cups of chai tea and the mustard, ochre, tobacco and rust tones of late Autumn. These are a few of my favourite Australian design picks for June 2018!

Miann & Co. Emily cotton jumper in terracotta - fantastic colour (and with my complexion I have to snap up all the Autumn-toned goodies while they are around before the blacks, icy pastels and jewel tones of Winter kick in. $99.95.

Rachel Castle Texta grey velvet pillowcase - the new floral and it goes with everything. The only hard decision is linen or velvet. I'm thinking velvet for winter. $79.00

I Love Linen French linen quilt cover in ochre - you really can't go wrong with any of the beautiful linen sheet sets and doona covers by Australian designers, but this ochre colour caught my eye. $220.

Studio Elke Motion studs in shiraz granite. Cute and quirky. $95.00

Kim Wallace Ceramics Reusable takeaway cup in pink cactus. I'm all about reusable cups but much prefer sipping a glass or ceramic mug. Kim's work is so beautiful. $59.95

The Beach People Scallop hip bag - made from recycled paper and totally hands free; or convert to a cross-body bag. I'm a fan. $69.00

Just a reminder - next time you need something, think about looking locally, buying from a market stallholder, small store, or online Australian business, or making something yourself. The big brands don't need us, but the small business owners do.
